What Tarot, Astrology, and Crystals All Have in Common (That No One Talks About)

What Tarot, Astrology, and Crystals All Have in Common (That No One Talks About)

Let me guess.. you've probably dabbled in at least one of them.

Maybe you started with crystals. A rose quartz bracelet here, an amethyst chunk there. Or maybe it was tarot, pulling cards late at night, asking the Universe for a sign. Or astrology;  your birth chart blew your mind, and now you’re knee-deep in Mercury retrograde memes.

And somewhere along the way, you probably wondered: Do these things actually work? Are they connected? Or am I just falling for the latest spiritual trend?

Here’s my take. Stripped of the fluff, grounded in lived experience: Tarot, astrology, and crystals are NOT the work.

They’re tools. And all three of them, when used with intention, have something powerful in common:

They reflect you back to yourself.

Not the polished version. Not the version you're curating for Instagram. But the raw, tender, uncomfortable parts. The questions you’ve been avoiding. The truths your nervous system isn’t ready to sit with. The patterns you’re tired of repeating but haven’t dared to name.

Let’s break it down.

Tarot: The Mirror

When used well, tarot isn’t about predicting the future. It’s about revealing your present.

Tarot speaks in archetype, symbol, metaphor.. which means it bypasses the logical mind and speaks straight to the subconscious.

It asks:

🟣Where are you not being honest with yourself?

🟣What truth do you already know but don’t want to admit?

🟣What internal pattern is ready to shift, if you’d stop resisting it?

Most people pull cards wanting answers. But what tarot really gives you… is better questions.

That’s the power.

Astrology: The Context

Astrology (especially Hellenistic astrology) is the map. It shows the terrain of your life: your core themes, your challenges, your turning points.

It doesn’t take away your agency. It gives you timing.

It tells you:

🟠This is a Saturn year. You will be tested.

🟠This is a 5th House profection. Pay attention to joy, creativity, children, self-expression.

🟠You’re entering a peak period in your Lot of Spirit. Time to step up.

The chart doesn’t control you. But it shows you what’s at play.. so you can stop fighting the current and start swimming with it.

When you see the pattern clearly, you stop thinking everything is your fault. You start working with your season.

Crystals: Embodiment, Not Escape

I love crystals. I work with them daily. But I don’t hoard them, and I don’t spiritualise them into gods.

Here’s what I know for sure:

The crystal doesn’t do the work for you. It supports you while you do it.

Smoky quartz doesn’t “transmute” your fear.
It gives you something to anchor into when the fear comes up.. so you don’t spiral, avoid, or collapse.

Black tourmaline won’t “protect” you from toxic environments.
But it might help you notice what you’ve been tolerating for too long, and strengthen your boundaries in the process.

Rose quartz won’t magically call in love.
But it can help you soften into receiving; especially when you’ve been armoured up for years.

Kunzite won’t erase your grief.
But it might hold you through it, gently, as you learn to keep your heart open anyway.

Crystals are energetic companions. Not saviours. Not trophies. Not your personality.

So What Is the Work Then?

The work is noticing.
Sitting with your discomfort.
Being brutally honest about your coping mechanisms.
Taking responsibility for the way you show up.

Tarot, astrology, and crystals? They just help you see.

And once you see clearly.. That’s when you get to choose differently.

Not because the stars said so.
Not because your tarot card told you to wait.
Not because your crystal is finally “charged.”

But because you are finally willing.

And that’s when the magic starts to feel real.

Final Thoughts...

You don’t need to be psychic, witchy, or spiritually gifted to use these tools.

You just need to be willing to listen.
To sit with what comes up.
And to actually do something about it.

Because clarity means nothing without action. And insight means nothing if you refuse to integrate.

So don’t confuse the tool with the transformation. Use them well. Use them honestly. And watch what happens when you start showing up; fully, humbly, consistently.

The tools don’t change you. You do.
