Because alignment isn’t an aesthetic, it’s effort.
There’s a certain aesthetic that’s taken over the wellness world. Soft lighting. Neutral-toned crystals. Morning cacao. “High vibes only.” And while none of that is wrong, let’s get real:
Healing isn’t a mood. It’s not a playlist. And it’s definitely not a curated flatlay.
Healing is messy. Unsexy. Inconvenient. It’s crawling your way out of bed when the weight is heavy. It’s choosing not to numb out when you could. And above all, it’s a daily choice. Over and over again.
The Myth of “One Day I’ll Be Healed”
You don’t “arrive” at healing like it’s a destination. There is no final boss level where everything is suddenly peaceful, pain-free, and perfect.
What really happens?
You start choosing differently.
You notice your triggers faster.
You respond instead of react (even if it’s just once more than last week).
You stop outsourcing your peace.
That’s healing. Not the absence of pain but the presence of self-accountability.
It’s Not Always Spiritual. Sometimes It’s Boring AF.
The truth no one likes to say: Healing looks a lot like routine.
Sleeping enough. Eating better. Getting your body to move and exercise. Logging off when you need to. Saying no even when you feel guilty.
Sometimes it’s setting boundaries. Other times, it’s washing your face and drinking water because you didn’t yesterday. It’s not glamorous. But it’s real.
“High Vibe” Culture Can Be Dangerous
You don’t have to be smiling to be healing. You don’t have to be grateful every moment to be on the right path.
If you’re angry, tired, grieving, anxious... guess what? You’re still healing.
Progress isn’t linear. And if anyone tells you your energy is “too heavy” or “too low” to be worthy of healing spaces, that’s not spiritual, that’s spiritual bypassing.
So What Does It Look Like?
Real healing looks like this:
✔️Feeling the urge to self-sabotage and pausing instead.
✔️Wanting to lash out and choosing to take a step back and breath first.
✔️Still spiraling sometimes but recovering faster than before.
✔️Being honest about your patterns without shaming yourself.
And on some days? It’s just making it through. That counts too.
Final Thoughts
Healing isn’t something you unlock once you’re “zen enough.” It’s not a trend, or a look, or a badge of honour. It’s a choice you make when no one’s watching. A decision to meet yourself where you are, without running.
So no, it’s not a vibe.

Totally agree with you! Thank you for taking the time and effort to share the long lost truths. Sometimes it’s so easy just not to rock the boat and continue to live in the perceived reality. It may be called self-denial. Or could really be that naive having lost our discerning wisdom.
Healing takes an intentional conscientious effort to connect the unconscious to our body’s consciousness. It involves vulnerability too. It involves concerted expressions of compassions and not condemnation. We are all broken healers.
Look forward to see more of your contents to learn and also spread the truths! 🙏
