An absolutely spectacular collector’s specimen from Yaogangxian, China, featuring layers of cubic purple Fluorite, delicate Calcite formations and a glittering dusting of metallic Pyrite.
This is one of those specimens where the closer you look, the more you discover.
The main face is covered in beautifully formed cubic Fluorite crystals in smoky lavender and purple tones, with varying levels of transparency that allow the individual crystal structures and overlapping cubes to remain visible.
Scattered throughout are tiny metallic Pyrite crystals, almost like gold glitter dusted naturally across the Fluorite. Along the reverse and edges, clusters of pale Calcite crystals form delicate, flower-like formations, creating a completely different texture and appearance from the other side.
The contrast is what makes this piece so special: geometric purple Fluorite, soft flowery Calcite and sparkling golden Pyrite all naturally occurring together on a single specimen.
A Piece You Can Display From Different Angles
There isn't really one "front" to this specimen.
Display it with the Fluorite facing forward to showcase its dramatic cubic formations, turn it around to reveal the Calcite-covered side, or position it horizontally to appreciate the entire landscape of crystals.
Different angles and lighting reveal completely different details, from flashes through the translucent Fluorite to the metallic sparkle of the Pyrite.

Fluorite, Calcite & Pyrite Properties
Beyond its mineralogical beauty, this combination brings together crystals traditionally associated with very complementary qualities.
Fluorite is associated with mental clarity, focus and clearing mental clutter.
Calcite is associated with cleansing, renewed energy and encouraging movement when you feel stagnant.
Pyrite is traditionally associated with confidence, protection, motivation and abundance.
Together, they make this an especially lovely piece for a workspace, study area or anywhere you want to encourage clarity, focus and forward movement.
Please note: This is a completely natural mineral specimen. Irregular formations, matrix, inclusions, uneven surfaces and variations in colour and crystal structure are natural characteristics and not defects. Handle with care, particularly around the smaller Calcite and Fluorite formations.
