Why I Only Offer Astrology Readings (and How BaZi Still Informs My Work)

Why I Only Offer Astrology Readings (and How BaZi Still Informs My Work)

Every year, as we approach a new zodiac or lunar year, I receive the same questions:

“Do you read BaZi?”
“Is this going to be a lucky year for me?”
“Should I be worried about clashes?”

The short answer is this:
I only offer professional astrology readings.
BaZi is a personal interest I grew up with and I use it as a supportive lens, not a predictive service.

I want to explain why that distinction matters.

Astrology is my formal practice

Astrology is the system I’ve formally studied, trained in, and practise professionally.

A proper astrology reading looks at:

✔️The full birth chart (not just Sun signs)

✔️Houses, aspects, and timing

✔️Personal cycles and life themes

This is where I do deep, structured interpretive work and where I hold myself to professional standards of accuracy, ethics, and responsibility.

BaZi is a complementary framework, not my service offering

BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) is something I’ve been exposed to since young. It’s familiar, intuitive, and culturally embedded in how I understand energy and balance.

However, a full BaZi reading requires:

✔️Deep technical training

✔️Precise chart analysis

✔️Responsible handling of timing, luck pillars, and predictions

Because of that, I do not offer full or predictive BaZi readings. When someone is seeking that level of analysis, I always recommend consulting a qualified BaZi practitioner.

How I actually use BaZi (and why)

What I do use BaZi for is element awareness.

Understanding element balance helps me:

✔️Recognise when someone may need more grounding, support, or movement

✔️Make more thoughtful recommendations around crystals, colours, and materials

✔️Avoid fear-based or superstition-driven advice

This use of BaZi is supportive, not predictive. It’s about balance, fate.

Why I don’t believe in fear-based forecasts

Many annual forecasts (especially the ones commonly seen in malls or online) reduce complex systems into:

✔️“Lucky” vs “unlucky” years

✔️Zodiac clashes framed as danger

✔️One-size-fits-all advice

When ancient metaphysical systems are simplified this way, they stop being helpful and start creating anxiety.

I don’t believe these tools are meant to scare us or take away agency. They’re meant to help us move through life more consciously.

Astrology and BaZi can work together, when used properly

To me, astrology and BaZi aren’t in conflict. They’re different languages describing similar principles:

✔️Cycles

✔️Timing

✔️Balance

✔️Interaction

Astrology remains the foundation of my professional work.

BaZi remains a supportive framework I respect, understand, and apply carefully in my own life.

Used together responsibly, they encourage awareness.

A final note on integrity

I’m intentional about what I offer, and just as intentional about what I don’t.

I believe metaphysical work carries responsibility. If I haven’t trained to practise something professionally, I won’t sell it as a service, no matter how popular or marketable it might be.
